Product description

Silvaclean wood is a preparation for cleaning organic and inorganic dirt form wood and wooden composites and removing the wood gray patina. The product is water based, it does not have the unpleasant smell of solvents, is non-flammable and it is based on natural components that are 97% biodegradable. It works quickly, efficiently and is easy to use. Silvaclean wood cleaner restores the natural colour of the old gray wood and cleans it of the impurities that wood collected on the surface during aging. It also cleans heavily loaded and walked surfaces of wood or wood composites well. In the case of stubborn stains and less accessible areas of gray wood, it is necessary to rub the agent into the surface with the help of a cleaning brush and, if necessary, repeat the cleaning several times. The cleaner restores and cares for the wooden surface or wood composite and at the same time preserves the structure of the surface with all its beauty.

Silvaclean wood is used for cleaning external wooden surfaces exposed to weather, such as terraces, garden furniture, decks, facade panels, windows, doors, pergolas, garden and balcony fences, etc. It can be used to clean all types of wood and wood composites, but it is necessary to test any discoloration on a small surface before use. Cleans well stains such as bird droppings, grease and oil stains, rust, tannin stains, deep dirt and other environmental residues. Due to its acid content, it is also possible to neutralize alkaline cleaners on wooden surfaces. The Silvaclean wood cleaner can also be used to clean thermally modified wood or vacuum-pressure impregnated wood with the primary water-based wood preservative Silvanolin®, or wood that has been primary or surface protected in some other way. If there are remnants of previous film-forming coatings or weatherly destroyed paints on the wood or wood composite, all that must be removed before cleaning in order to ensure uniform removal of the gray patina and deeply embedded dirt. If we want to clean surfaces that are protected by intact film-forming coatings, only mild cleaning with a cloth is necessary, without creating abrasion. With such application the Silvaclean wood cleaner does not damage film-forming coatings. The product is environmentally friendly, as it does not contain harmful or easily volatile components. The oxalic acid present is biodegradable, but due to its reducing nature, it is necessary to protect the surfaces, that we do not want to treat, before cleaning.

Application and cleaning procedure with Silvaclean wood

· Protect the eyes, hands and exposed parts of the body

· The oxalic acid present is biodegradable, but due to its reducing nature, it is necessary to protect the surfaces that we do not want to treat before cleaning.

· With 1 kilogram of the product Silvaclean wood, we clean from 5 to 10 m2 of surface. Consumption strongly depends on the level of stain and dirt loading, surface and ground surface treatment, and the age and type of wood and wood composites.

· Silvaclean wood is used to clean external wooden surfaces exposed to the weather, such as terraces, garden furniture, decks, facade panels, windows, doors, pergolas, garden and balcony fences, etc. It can be used to clean all types of wood and wood composites, but it is necessary to test any discoloration on a small surface before use.

· Cleans well stains such as bird droppings, grease and oil stains, rust, tannin stains, deep dirt and other environmental residues.

Important:

· Consider relevant the corresponding safety data sheet. Keep out of the reach of children and in a tightly closed container. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of running water. When applying and cleaning, it is absolutely necessary to protect the eyes, hands and exposed parts of the body. When using in strong sunlight, it is necessary to avoid inhaling the mist of the product.

· Silvaclean wood cleaner can be used in all dry weather conditions, but low temperatures can slow down its activity (optimal use at temperatures above 8 °C).

· Wash the tool with water after finishing work.

· The product must not be mixed with other water or solvent cleaners, impregnation agents or surface protection for wood.

1. The product must be mixed before use.

2. It is applied undiluted by pouring or with the help of a brush.

3. Possible stubborn stains that are fixed deep in the pores of wood or wood composites and gray patina, which is more difficult to remove with a cloth, must be removed by rubbing the agent into the surface using a cleaning brush and/or repeat the process of applying the cleaner if necessary. For heavily grayed wood surfaces, we recommend using the product two or more times with in-depth application.

4. After cleaning, the wooden surface should be thoroughly washed with plenty of water and dried well before re-treatment and protection. Residues of unrinsed liquid on the surface of the wood can lead to the formation of spots.

5. The drying time must be adjusted according to the current weather conditions, so that the final relative humidity of the wood before applying the desired protection system is below 15%.

6. If we want to additionally protect the wood after cleaning, if necessary, first sand the protruding wood fibers with fine sandpaper and remove any remnants of old film-forming coatings. The existing basic wood protection (e.g. Silvanolin® and Silvanol) must be renewed after cleaning.

7. If the wood was not originally thoroughly protected, we recommend first protection with the primary protective agents Silvanolin® or Silvanol, which protect against wood pests. After the primary protection has dried well, we also recommend surface protection with Silvalazur, Silvalazur strong or Silvacera® coatings, which protect against weather influences.
